Brenno Ambrosini is an Italian pianist born in 1967. He began his musical studies at 6 years old, debuted at 11 years old in Venice, and was trained as a disciple of the Liszt school.
He studied piano, organ, violin and composition with MI Biagi, R. Cappello and U. Amendola. After completing his studies in Italy with the highest marks and cum laude, he continued perfectioning within the school of Liszt with G. Oppitz in Munich, M. Silva-Telles in Paris and J. Soriano in Madrid, obtaining the ‘Premio de Honor de Final de Carrera’.
Winner of the First Prize at the ‘XXXIV Concurso Internacional de Piano “Premio Jaén” and in that same edition, the ‘Premio Rosa Sabater’ for the best interpretation of Spanish music. He got the First Prize Award, and the Debussy and Beethoven Prizes, at the international piano competition “Cidade do Porto”. Second Prize at the international piano competition “José Iturbi”, in Valencia. Second Prize and “Golden Harp” prize at the ‘Concours International Jeunesses Musicales’, in Belgrade. Winner of the ‘Piano Festival Alumni Prize’ at the‘William Kapell’ international piano competition, in College Park (Washington DC, USA). He has given more than 500 concerts both as a soloist with orchestra (eg Philharmonic and Royal Concertgebouw) and as a member of chamber formations.
He has been a teacher in many piano master classes in Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, United Kingdom (Goldsmith College, University of London) and Poland, has been a guest lecturer at the ‘Goldsmiths Institute’, Consultant (Professor of Piano – Master) of the VIU and a teacher at the ‘Schnittke Akademie’, in Hamburg.
Currently he teaches at the Centro Superior KATARINA GURSKA.
