Masterclass Violín - Kirill Troussov

Praised internationally for his “”irreproachable technique and exceptional musical sensibility”, Russian violinist Kirill Troussov is widely recognized as one of the leading soloists of his generation. He performs with renowned orchestras in major concert halls, and is a regular featured artist at prestigious festivals around the world. His passion for chamber music has led to collaborations with many of the world’s leading artists including Sol Gabetta, Yuja Wang, Julian Rachlin, Daniel Hope, Joshua Bell, Yuri Bashmet, Mischa Maisky and Gautier and Renaud Capucon. Highlights of his past concert seasons include an appearance at the BBC Proms, an Asian tour with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and substituting for Gidon Kremer at short notice in Paris. He has given masterclasses at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the European Music Intstitute Vienna and in Berlin and Cremona, and has served on the jury of the Schoenfeld International String Competition in China. His CDs entitled Memories and Emotions have been highly praised by the international press. Kirill Troussov plays on the Antonio Stradivari violin “Brodsky” of 1702, the violin that was played on for the world premiere of Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto in 1881. His mentors include Sir Yehudi Menuhin.
