PIANO MASTERCLASS WITH THE PROF. PAVEL GILILOV

The Centro Superior KATARINA GURSKA (CSKG) is honored to host an exclusive piano masterclass with the prestigious Prof. PAVEL GILILOV, celebrated worldwide for his interpretative sensitivity and technical virtuosity. This event will take place from April 10th to 13th, 2025, and will include the participation of distinguished pianist Prof. GLEB KOROLEFF during the four-day masterclass.

 

PAVEL GILILOV is the founder of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn, serving as its artistic director and jury president since its inception in 2005. Competition Achievements; 4th Prize at the International Frédéric Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1975), 1st Prize at the National Piano Competition in Moscow (1972), 1st Prize at the International Viotti Piano Competition in Vercelli. From 1979 to 2013, he was a professor at the University of Music in Cologne, and since 2007, he has been teaching piano at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. In addition to his solo career, he is highly dedicated to chamber music and was a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Piano Quartet. His regular chamber music partners include Pierre Amoyal, Dimitri Sitkovetsky, Tabea Zimmermann, and Mischa Maisky. He has performed with major orchestras worldwide and in some of the most prestigious cultural metropolises, receiving enthusiastic praise from audiences and critics alike. His numerous CD recordings for Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft, RCA Victor, Toshiba EMI, Orfeo, and others have cemented his reputation as a leading pianist. Pavel Gililov frequently conducts masterclasses internationally and is a sought-after juror for prestigious competitions. Several contemporary composers have dedicated works to him, which he premiered.

 

 

 

GLEB KOROLEFF has earned critical acclaim for his performances in leading concert halls around the globe, including tours across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Notable venues include the Tonhalle in Zurich, Suntory Hall in Japan, Symphony Space in New York, Shanghai Philharmonic Hall, Gasteig in Munich, National Auditorium in Madrid, Mozarteum in Salzburg, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Beethovenhalle in Bonn, and many others. A German pianist of Latvian descent, Gleb studied under Tamara Koloss at the Central Music School of Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He continued his training with Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and with the renowned Prof. Claudio Martínez-Mehner at the Musikhochschule in Cologne, both of whom played a pivotal role in his artistic development. Gleb Koroleff has won awards at international piano competitions. His CD has been nominated in three categories for the prestigious German “Opus Klassik” award. His recordings for National Radio of Spain, WDR West Germany Radio, Bavarian Radio, NDR Radio, Latvian Radio Classica, Radio Orfeo, and Medici TV have been met with great acclaim. Since 2022, he has been a professor of piano at the Katarina Gurska Center in Madrid, Spain.

3 lessons with Prof. Pavel Gililov.
2 lessons with assistant professor Gleb Koroleff.
Access to attend the entire masterclass as an observer.
Final concert by participants.
