ENRIC DE ANCIOLA

The harp is a technically complicated instrument and for any harpist it is important to have a thorough knowledge of its construction and functioning, as well as its maintenance.

The workshop organised by the CSKG with the technician Enric de Anciola, is aimed at harp professionals and students of any level, as well as those interested in the instrument.

Enric is a multi-brand harp technician, former chief technician of Camac harps, and will offer a workshop where harpists can learn from him the basic fundamentals of the instrument and its personal maintenance: the organology of the harp and its care, the operation of the pedals, the maintenance of the strings and other interchangeable parts, as well as the conservation of the instrument according to atmospheric conditions.

The WORKSHOP will take place on two dates with groups of 12 people and three harps from different manufacturers will be used.

1. The harp string
2. The tuning pegs
3. Atmospheric conditions for the preservation
of the instrument
4. Structure of the harp
5. Operation of the double-motion pedal harp
6. Introduction to the adjustment of the pedal harp
7. Replacement of parts and materials with wear marks

The active pupils will work in groups of 4 to rotate on three harps of different manufacturers of different manufacturers, putting into practice the topics covered.
