OLIVER ARSON
Olivier Arson (Paris, 1979) is a French composer and producer. He composes cinematically powerful electronic music with influences ranging from ambient pioneers to electro-acoustic and industrial music.
In 2009, he founded the avant-garde label E/C where he signed his debut as The Folding and the point, inspired by the topographical adventures of Peter Handke’s “Slow Return”. The album Mandorle reached the national best of the year lists and is followed by an extensive tour that takes the band to create “brutal and extreme experiences” in festivals like Sónar or Villamanuela and in special places like the Laboral Church in Gijón or the Nave 16 in Matadero Madrid. In parallel, he collaborates with the contemporary dance company EN PROFUNDIDAD, tours with several bands at festivals such as Primavera Sound, BBK, FIB or South by Southwest, and is one of the first residents at the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid.
He works for film, TV and advertising. He is the composer of the soundtracks for Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s thrillers Que Dios Nos Perdone, nominated for Best Soundtrack at the Feroz Awards, El reino, for which he won the Goya Award for Best Original Score and As Bestas, for which he won the Gota for Best Original Score 2023. He also composed the soundtrack for the TV series La Zona by Alberto and Jorge Sanchez-Cabezudo for Movistar+, the original music for Cerdita by Carlota Pereda, for the series Antidisturbios by Rodrigo Sorogoyen and Isabel Peña and for the series Apagón, also by Rodrigo Sorogoyen.
