Antonio Domingo
Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion from the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music of Madrid. From 1995 to 2010, he was a titular member of the Sax-Ensemble, a group that received the National Music Prize in 1997. He was a candidate for the Max Awards for Performing Arts in its ninth edition (2006), in the categories of Best Leading Actor and Best Musical Director, and in its tenth edition (2007), in the categories of Best Supporting Actor, Best Musical Director, and Best Original Theater Score.
He received the ATRESMEDIA Foundation Award for the best successful educational project of 2014, also receiving a special mention from the jury as the director of the project, for the “CREATE THE SOUNDTRACK OF YOUR LIFE” project, developed in music classrooms from kindergarten to high school.
In 2021, together with Sonsoles Manjón, he published the book “And This, Is It Music?” a literary proposal aimed at opening new doors to music education for students aged 0 to 6.
Currently, he is a vibraphone professor and director of the Percussion Ensemble at Musikene, the Higher Music Center of the Basque Country, as well as an Educational Luthier in different Music Schools and Conservatories. He collaborates in teacher training in all the Education Departments of the country and is a co-creator of the Personal Growth Platform for Teachers www.dopaminate.com
