Eva Novotna
Born in the Czech Republic. She holds a degree in Music Education and Languages from the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové, a degree in Singing from the Higher Academy of Musical Arts in Prague, Czech Republic, and a diploma from the Academia Chigiana in Siena. She has taken advanced lessons with professors J. Janásivá, L. Löbl, N. Kniplová, M. Benacková, D. Ferro, M. Eliassen, M. Hájossyová, L. Provedo, etc.
She has been a soloist with the Mozart Opera in Prague, the Karlin Operetta Theatre in Prague, the Cantore Praguenses, specialising in religious music, and the Antonin Dvorak Orchestra of the Czech Philharmonic, the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, the Brixi Orchestra in Prague and the Virtuosi di Praga.
She was a laureate of several competitions, including the International Antonin Dvorak Competition in Karlovy Vary. As a pedagogue she was a teacher of vocal education and assistant conductor of the Children’s Choir of the Czech Philharmonic.
She has participated in important international festivals such as the Contemporary Music Festivals of Alicante, Salamanca, Segovia, Valencia, Barcelona and has performed in recitals in different Spanish cities, especially those sponsored by the José Cameras Foundation and the National Auditorium of Madrid.
She has sung as a soloist in countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Cuba, Monaco, Slovenia, Russia, Slovakia, etc.
