Guillermo Sánchez Lluch

He was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1990. He studied double bass at the Conservatorio de El Escorial with Professor Andrzej Karasiuk, where he graduated with honours. From 2008 to 2011 he was a student at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in the Double Bass Chair with Professor Duncan McTier and Antonio García Araque.

In 2009 and 2010 he received from the hands of Her Majesty the Queen the Most Outstanding Student of his chair. He received a tuition grant from the Madrid City Council. 2011-18 is a student at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, where he graduates with the highest marks both in the Bachelor’s degree and in the subsequent Master’s degree. 2011,12 and 14 he receives the scholarship ¨Juventudes Musicales de Madrid.

He has received masterclasses from musicians such as Luis Otero, Janne Saksala, Mihai Ichim, Bozo Paradzik, Reri Grist, Ferenc Rados, Alberto Bocini, Gunars Upatnieks, Mathew McDonald, Klaus Stoll, Dorin Marc, Herbrt Mayr, Rinat Ibragimov, Stanislav Anischenko, …..

He has performed with orchestras such as the Orquesta del Palau de les Arts, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, WDR Sinfonie Orchester Köln and the Stuttgart Opera Orchestra. He has been a member of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester During the year 2012-13 he plays as an Intern in the SWR Orchester Freiburg und Baden-Baden 2026-17 he plays with the Cologne Radio Orchestra and later with the Stuttgart Opera 2017-2020 he is member of the Gürzenich Orchester Köln (Symphony and Opera Orchestra of the City of Cologne) Since 2020 he is member of the Orquesta Nacional de España.
