Manuel Burgueras

After studying piano with Juan Carlos Arabián, he specialised in chamber music and accompaniment with maestros Guillermo Opitz, Paul Schilhawsky, Erik Werba and Félix Lavilla.

Regular accompanist of Montserrat Caballé since 1991, he has performed in the most prestigious concert halls in the world, such as Covent Garden and Royal Festival Hall in London, Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall (Lincoln Center) in New York, Symphony Hall in Chicago, Konzerthaus and Musikverein in Vienna, Grosses Festpielhaus in Salzburg, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Rome Opera, Zurich Opera, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Salle Pleyel, Salle Gaveau and Opera Garnier in Paris, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Musikhalle in Hamburg, Liederhalle in Stuttgart, Munich Opera, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Deutsche Staatsoper and Philarmonie in Berlin, Glocken and Bremen Opera, Cologne Philharmonie, Centro Cultural de Belem, Lisbon, Bolshoi Theatre and Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Marinsky Theatre (ex Kirov) in St. Petersburg, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and many more. In Spain he has performed at the Teatro Real and the Auditorio Nacional de Música (Symphonic and Chamber Hall) in Madrid, Palau de la Música in Valencia, Palau de la Música Catalana and Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Palacio de Festivales in Santander, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, among many others.

He also made recordings for several commercial labels (RCA Gold Seal-BMG, Sony). His CD “Música Española para Piano y Voz del Siglo XIX”, sponsored by the Fundación Autor, was nominated for the National Music Awards 2006.
