Bel Canto Masterclass with YOLANDA AUYANET
Aimed at singers with higher and professional qualifications.
Spanish soprano Yolanda Auyanet, after winning numerous international opera competitions (third international opera competition (third prize at the “Francisco Viñas” competition in Barcelona and first prize at the Toulouse International Competition), began a successful international career that took her to some of the most important European opera houses, working with conductors from all over the world of the stature of Zubin Mehta, Michele Mariotti, Alberto Zedda, Evelino Pidò, Bruno Bartoletti, Alan Curtis and Christopher Franklin, and with conductors such as Franco Zeffirelli, Robert Wilson, Daniele Abbado and Damiano Michieletto.
Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she studied music at the conservatory in her native city and in Barcelona, where she specialised with the Polish baritone Jerzy Artyz.
After making her debut at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari as Musetta in La bohème, Yolanda Auyanet performed as Gilda in Rigoletto in Las Palmas and as Violetta in La traviata at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. In the following years she enriched her repertoire with numerous roles, from Belcanto to Verismo: Norma (Teatro Real in Madrid, Semperoper in Dresden, Staatstheater in Stuttgart, Teatro Massimo in Palermo), Elisabeth de Valois in Don Carlo (Opéra de Marseille, Opéra Royal De Wallonie), the main roles in Anna Bolena (Teatro Regio in Parma), in Maria Stuarda (Ópera de Tenerife), Vitellia in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito (Teatro Real de Madrid), Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte (Comunale di Bologna, Lirico di Cagliari), Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro (Teatro della Maestranza de Sevilla), Donna Anna (Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with Zubin Mehta on the podium) and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Adina in L’elisir d’amore (Pamplona), Fiorilla in Il turco in Italia (Las Palmas, Teatro Regio di Torino), Mathilde in Guillaume Tell (Teatro Comunale di Bologna), Giulietta in I Capuleti e I Montecchi (Las Palmas), Liù in Turandot (Teatro Real de Madrid, directed by Robert Wilson and conducted by Nicola Luisotti), Micaela in Carmen (Arena di Verona directed by Franco Zeffirelli), Mimì in La bohème (Teatro Real de Madrid), Leonora in Il trovatore (Opéra de Toulon, Ópera de Tenerife, Opéra Royal De Wallonie), Desdémona in Otello (Las Palmas and Modena).

The 3 days training includes
· 2 individual lessons with Yolanda Auyanet
· 1 individual class with the master repertoire teacher Manuel Burgueras.
· Final concert
· Piano accompanist: a professional piano accompanist (prof. Manuel Burgueras) will be provided during the course classes and the final concert.
· Facilities: Participants will have access to our classrooms with piano to prepare for the course.
