Pablo Cascallana

Pablo Cascallana

“Pablo shows a deep empathy and a natural response to the music, offering a warm and eloquent sound” – Ronan O’Hora, head of the piano department at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

With an artistic training forged in prestigious European institutions, Cascallana presents himself as an intimate and charismatic pianist, with a solid stage presence and ample communicative ability.

His early projection led him to make his debut as a soloist at the age of 18 with the OSCAM, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12. Since then he has given recitals in numerous international concert halls such as Sala Conde Duque (Madrid), Teatro Romano (Mérida), Princess Alexandra Hall (London), Fazioli Concert Hall (Sacile) or Hallemburg Schloss (Schlitz). He has collaborated with orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica Katarina Gurska or Orquesta Ciudad de Mérida and has participated in festivals such as the Russian Piano Festival in Manchester or The European Pianorama in Glasgow.

His career was boosted when he was awarded a scholarship by the British Government to study for two years at The Purcell School of Music (Watford), a high-performance centre for young musicians, under the direction of Professor Tessa Nicholson. He then entered the prestigious The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London), with a scholarship from the Association of Performers and Players (AIE), completing his training and obtaining a Bachelor of Music. He then completed his studies with a Master’s Degree in Solo Performance and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Musical Research at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska in Madrid with Professor Nino Kereselidze.

In addition, Cascallana has received advice from great masters such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Joaquín Achúcarro, Dmitri Alexeev, Eldar Nebolsin and Boris Berman.

He currently combines his teaching activity at the Enseñanza Musical Katarina Gurska with his doctoral studies at the Katarina Gurska Institute.
