Guillermo Sanchis

He received his first lessons from his father Vicente Sanchis (Orquesta Nacional de España) and later with Victor Anchel (ONE and professor at the Reina Sofía School of Music). At the same time, he complemented his training in courses with Andreas Wittmann (Berlin Philharmonic). After studying the first and second year of Grado Superior at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, he decided to transfer his studies to the University for the Arts (Hochschule für Music Hanns Eisler Berlin) under the guidance of Dominik Wollenweber (Berlin Philharmonic). Subsequently, he continued his studies at the Karajan Akademie with Jonathan Kelly as principal teacher.
Regarding orchestral experience, he started with the Orquesta Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid (JORCAM) and later collaborated with the Orquesta Nacional de España. Outside Spain, he performed with orchestras such as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Rundfunk Symphonie Orchester Berlin and the Berlin Philharmonic. In 2013 he was a soloist with the Braunschweig State Orchestra (Germany) and since March 2014 he has been a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid at the Teatro Real.

In the field of competitions, he participated in the Primer Palau 2011 (first prize) and in the SONY International Oboe Competition 2012 (semi-final).
