Marie Rosa Günter
She was born in Braunschweig (Germany) and studied in Hannover and Rome with Matti Raekallio, Bernd Goetzke and Benedetto Lupo (concert diploma). She has also received advice from Robert Levin, Ferenc Rados, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Tatiana Zeligman and Michel Béroff.
She has been awarded prizes in international competitions such as the Concorso Steinway Hamburg (Germany), the Swedish International and the International Chamber Music Competition in Lyon (France).
She has been invited to perform at numerous festivals, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hitzacker Festival, Bachtage Würzburg and Grieg in Bergen, and has performed as a soloist and chamber musician on various European and Asian stages, together with violinists Cristina Goicea and Tobias Feldmann and cellist Stanislas Kim, among other musicians. Recently, she performed Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.
Finally, her recording of the Goldberg Variations has received the Super Sonic Award.
Her next engagements will take her to perform the complete sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven. She has started this concert series as part of the Palermo Classico Festival in the summer of 2022 with the Sonata op.106.
She is fluent in German, French and English. In addition, she speaks Italian and Spanish at an intermediate level and has a basic knowledge of Russian.
Since 2020 she has also been teaching at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover (Germany).
